2004中華台北驕傲的那一刻我沒即時看轉播，也因此少了一份感動記憶。但少了搧情更看到荒謬--日日吵翻天的政治人物和島國人民突然大家手牽手人ㄧ起為心中各自表述的那個"國家"在歡呼。B. Anderson想像的社群之所以經典就在於他分析了這種比比皆是的現象。奧運ㄧ直是個帶著運動家面具的大怪獸，裡面藏著的是國際政治的算計與角力（冷戰時期蘇聯和美國屆屆拼金牌，今年我們以C 進場也是）。
今年這頭怪獸更張牙舞爪，面目可憎－－如果為西藏人權、為台灣正名可以考慮抵制奧運，我想這個對女運動員生理驗證的復辟也應該成為抵制的理由！
